Hi Jenny, This is a marvelous bit and I would dearly love to know who that was so that I may share it with people too. I'm sure there is a way to know, but I can't figure that one out. Perhaps you will tell me? Thank you for visiting my blog, and thank you for having such a wonderful piece on yours!
Never Mind! I found it on You Tube by putting in the title. Hello! Alan Watts is an old favorite in this household. I shall enjoy sharing the wonderful little piece now.
Isn't this brilliant? I think... I think maybe I am close, and maybe the greatest step I could take would be to stop being apologetic, or embarrassed, for not doing more typical things... for not being a _success_ in the expected ways. Audrey, thank you for sharing this. My soul is buzzing.
Those are some wise words. If money was no object I would like to live overlooking the sea, grow lots of beautiful flowers and do something in improvinmg the lives of others. Sarah x
Oh crumbs, this got me thinking...wise words indeed. But a part of me thinks yes, that's all well and good, but I've got a mortgage to pay. Perhaps it will impact more on how I raise my kids than what I do with my life next. Hmm, you've got me thinking now.
An interesting video! From a Christian's point of view, there is a saying "In the vision, there is provision"...meaning if God places a dream in your life, he also makes a way of realising it. Therefore I believe if I put my life in His hands, He will give me dreams or vision and provide a way of realising those things...He knows better than me even what I desire the most and so far I have lived a life deeply satisfied with both the challenges and the dreams that I have realised. I hope your life is the same. By the way..I love that you want to call McDonald's, Macca's!!

Hello again Jenny.
DeleteI have nominated you for a Leibster blog award. Please don't feel you have to take part. But I do like your blog. :-) x

ReplyDeleteThis is such a great question...and one I need to revisit from time to time.
ReplyDeleteI want to live lovingly as a servant-leader, wherever I live, and that is not dependent on the amount of money I possess.
I want to live creatively expressing love, crafting it through words and actions, especially through the home arts.
I want to live simply, near an ocean, rivers, lakes, trees, and mountains.
How about you, Jenny?
xx,
Gracie
