Thomas Wolfe, on October

“All things on earth point home in old October; sailors to sea,
travellers to walls and fences, hunters to field and hollow and
the long voice of the hounds, the lover to the love he has forsaken”

~Thomas Wolfe

You can see childhood photos of Thomas Wolfe and other famous writers here. So sweet and real, all of them.

  1. Wonderful photos, Jenny, and an interesting quote. I checked out the link you posted and felt old/nostalgic as I looked at the authors' images. I was particularly glad to see my friend, Madelene L'Engle. [I read so much of her work she felt like a friend. She made an effort to respond to fans who wrote to her, including me. When I met her several times I felt tongue-tied even though I knew she was mortal like me (:] xx from Gracie
