Valentine Suncatchers

{or How We Added a Little Color to Our Graywhite January)

Create Crayon shreds with a pencil sharpener.
Sprinkle between two layers of wax paper.
Melt with a warm iron (slide a piece of paper betweeen the wax paper and iron so you don't get wax on your iron).
Trace and cut out your hearts (or any shape you'd like).
Hang with embroidery thread or tape to your windows.

  1. So pretty, you are one step ahead of me, I'm still in winter mode here. You'll have to give us directions! (please)

  2. These are gorgeous!! Missy M and I must make some to liven up our windowscape! Great colours... love the orange in there too! :)

  3. The color of these photos alone was enough to brighten up my day ... thank you! What a great idea!!

  4. Sooooo beautiful, and I never would have thought to try this process. Thanks so much for posting, Jenny!

  5. This is so cool! I love it. I am going to have a go at this. I've never seen this done before...oooh, new craft excitement!!

  7. These are great! Wow, I'm having flashbacks. I haven't seen this craft in a good 25 years. I may have to try this with my two. Beautiful!

  8. That is such a super idea - how lovely
    Many thanks

  9. I love this idea! I don't like most Valentine's decorations, but these are beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

  10. This is the most beautiful Valentine project I have seen this year! I love this! I pinned this! Now I need to find a crayon/pencil sharpener and hope my little grandson doesn't mind me stealing his pink and red crayons!!

Thank you for your comments. Hearing from you makes my day!
