Whew! We did it. Another Christmas.
Now it's "hang time" — that nebulous, hazy space between a holiday and the start-up of everyday life. There's lots of sleeping in, lots of lounging in jammies, and lots of munching on leftover things. Outside it snows in fits and starts.
My mind is already moving into the new year. I'm all a-swarm with thoughts — plotting, planning, daydreaming, scheming . . .
Dear 2013,
Let me share a few of my thoughts and hopes with you . . .
I love this time too, that week between Christmas and New Year is lazy and there is no routine. I hope you enjoyed your Christmas, and you had snow!!! We just had a lot of rain...

Boy, you guys sure get a ton of rain. I always knew it was rainy in the U.K. but I don't think I knew just HOW MUCH you guys get. Stay dry!
DeleteI love this time after Christmas too!And I also enjoy the anticipation of a new year and all my dreams. Happy New Year to you Audrey.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Cait. Looking forward to reading your posts and poetry in the new year.
DeleteYour pictures and words both soothed and filled me with wonder, Jenny. I am enjoying this end-or-one-year-anticipating-a-new-year time, too. Your snow is so beautiful. Our snow is on the mountains around us and I was able to see it Friday and take some pictures. I have soooooo many projects I want to knit, crochet, spin, paint and type now and in the coming year! Isn't it awesome we can be creative...change...grow and even celebrate the process? xx from Gracie
ReplyDeleteCreative energy really is THE BEST, isn't it? I hope I never lose my desire to create. I'm excited to see what you have up your sleeve this new year, Gracie.

Your pictures are gorgeous! What a wonderful photographer you are! That "hang time" right after Christmas is the best way to relax before the New Year!
